Classical Pilates Training & Professional Background

My professional path has been built through the study of movement in its many forms: dance, teaching and somatic research.
In recent years, I have focused my training on the Classical Pilates method, bringing together technique, precision and anatomical knowledge to integrate them into teaching and the conscious practice of the body.

Artistic and Pedagogical Training

My first contact with movement was through professional dance.
For more than a decade, I trained and worked as a performer and stage creator in different countries, exploring the relationship between technique, expression and a conscious body.

  • Professional degree in Contemporary Dance – Institut del Teatre, Barcelona.
  • Training in choreographic composition, improvisation and movement analysis.
  • Studies in dance pedagogy and movement teaching methodologies.

These experiences laid the foundations for my technical and perceptive understanding of the body, and for the precision I now seek in every Pilates exercise.

Training in bodywork and kinesiology

I deepened my understanding of the body from a therapeutic perspective, integrating psycho-energetic kinesiology and other disciplines focused on the relationship between movement, energy and emotion.

  • Certification in psycho-energetic techniques applied to movement.
  • Studies in functional anatomy and postural control.
  • Training in conscious breathing techniques and body-based stress management.

This somatic and holistic approach to the body has been essential for understanding anatomy in motion and the connection between structure, breathing and inner balance.

Training in Classical Pilates

I am currently undergoing professional training in the Classical Pilates method, following the lineage of Kathryn Ross-Nash with the direct mentorship of Ruth Basté in Girona.
My goal is to complete the full certification by 2027, covering all the apparatus in the system: Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrel and Cadillac.

Throughout this process, I integrate daily practice, technical reading and biomechanical analysis with the tradition of the original method.
In the My Pilates approach section, I share reflections, insights and the application of classical principles in my personal practice and in my teaching.

Continuing education and complementary learning

I maintain a constant attitude of learning and ongoing development, exploring areas that broaden and deepen my understanding of the body and movement:

  • Language study (English and French) for international teaching – EOI Girona.

  • Training in anatomy applied to movement and functional biomechanics.

  • Seminars on Classical Pilates pedagogy and progressive teaching techniques.

  • Personal research into motor control, functional strength and conscious flexibility.

Vision and synthesis

All my training converges in the same direction: understanding movement as a path to transformation and balance.

For me, the Classical Pilates method represents the synthesis of technique, anatomy and the conscious expression of the body — a practice where precision becomes art, and alignment becomes self-knowledge.
